I've tried a few woot tools but they all have their pros and cons.

just us a browser plug-in to update the page every minute or whatever
time you like. This seems to work just as well as those custom tools.

wootalizer (sp) works ok, but you still need to be at your computer to hit
the buy botton on the BOC.

Woot offs have last therer flair with me. I got a BOC about 3 wootoffs back and it was litteraly* a BAG OF CRAP. I got some logitech connecter things like 5 boxes of them and a toy car, I was disillionsioned* fosho. These days I mainly just like looking a the pictures people post like this classix
